Big ICORE Match this coming Sunday
Don't know any details but I think there is a BIG TIME ICORE match @ Magnolia this Sunday 10/11.
Maybe Cliff will fill us in on some details
Might be a good one to come watch...This one is all "business"

Re: Big ICORE Match this coming Sunday
The 3rd Annual ICORE Cup Revolver Match is today, 50-55 revolver enthusiasts competing today from California, Nevada, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, and several other states. There's been a lot of rain but the range is in good shape since the dirt work done in March. Come on out and see just how fast and accurate a revolver can be. I can promise you will go away with a whole new respect for a revolver in the hands of a skilled shooter. See you there!

Jerry gave my hunting buddy his training for his cc permit in Louisiana.... he said he is a really nice person.... Going to have to make a trip to his gun store in Shreveport one day.

Guess it ended up being 9 stages according to the program.
5 wears me out
I cannot imagine 9....that's a lot of waiting around

Re: Big ICORE Match this coming Sunday
Add 9 stages Sunday to Friday and Saturday where we had very little help setting up. There were just 3...that's right...3 of us setting props out. Very little help again on Saturday to set the stages up as well.
I'm all used up.
I won't go through this again.

Re: Big ICORE Match this coming Sunday
I RO'ed the RO's and shooters on Saturday afternoon, after mowing the range and helping setup on Friday and Saturday with Cliff and Matt. Then I shot the match on Sunday. That's 18 stages in a day and a half. I could barely walk around unloading stuff from the vehicle Sunday evening, and you all missed by shoulder nearly dislocating itself from all of the extra stress on it over the past three days. My left shoulder looks like I got a shoulder pad under my shirt, according to several people at the range and my wife. I haven't looked at it in the mirror yet! It feels fine now but prior to the awards it was acting up pretty bad. Denise Fox called from Thibodaux, LA to check on me this morning, after getting up at 4:20 AM, she got home to bed at midnight last night after the match. I REALLY enjoyed shooting my new Smith & Wesson Model 627, 8-shot .38 Super, even if I didn't have all the correct gear I thought I needed. Just a good case in point where the gun will do, IF you will do. Congratulations to Cliff Cargill on a 2nd place finish in Limited B-class, only behind Johnny Brister, who was in my squad and is a great competitor! I am whipped after this weekend.....where are the scores?

Re: Big ICORE Match this coming Sunday
Wow
If I'm reading the scores right...There's a C class shooter finishing right below a M Class
Looks like Jerry M. was smooth ....and fast (stage 7)
