CCW Processing Time
For those applying: I applied May 12, and I received my CCP in the mail today June 23. It carries an issue date of 6-26-09. Perhaps it is the effect of the new bill effective July1, but for whatever reason, the wait after applying is substantially less than previous.

Re: CCW Processing Time
When I got mine it took exactly the 120 days. I am glad to see they are doing something about it because I had contacted them and was informed that they would wait all the time they could by law before sending it out.

Re: CCW Processing Time
I hope mine will come that fast. I applied for mine on June 16th. The officers there told me 8 to 10 weeks which is still alot better than 4 months, but a little over a month would be great.

I just got my license today. I applied on June 16th which was a Tuesday so that makes it 6 weeks ( 42 days) exactly for me.

"encouragement" No one one here gets "ragged" too badly...You'll be particularly happy with the fact that it makes your life somewhat smoother when making gun purchases....Ie you won't have to wait around for the dealer to call you in to Uncle Sugar...enjoy

Re: CCW Processing Time
The processing time has been reduced from 120 days to 45 days since Barbour signed the law back in April, think it went into effect July 1st.

My son just got his. Took six weeks and one day. Beats the 17 weeks it took for mine a couple of years ago.
