It has been very consistent and extremely accurate for an out of the box Ruger Hawkeye that has not had any work on the trigger or bedding of the stock. I am very pleased with the results. I'll start off by saying when I bought my Benelli SBE II, I think I've bought my last shotgun. it is really nice shooter and will feed anything.
once I thought you couldn't beat a Remington 1100, but I was mistaken.
now for deer hunting with a shotgun, I prefer the 835 Ulti-Mag Mossberg (bad sucka)

I have looked for one to hold and fondle while I made my mind up and had zero luck. Last week I bit the bullet and ordered one in 45 Colt. It is an 80% replica of the Sharps rifle and it is a hoot to shoot. It came with a tang mounted rear sight, double set trigger, color case hardened reciever and lever withe a ble barrel.
